RADical Hope on CNBC’s Squawk Box

Larry Bossidy and Ken Langone joined CNBC’s Squawk Box this morning to discuss how RADical Hope is addressing the youth mental health crisis by building resilience in young lives.

The two executives teamed up to call on other leaders in the business community to support RADical Hope’s critical skill-building resiliency program for college students.

You can watch the full interview in the two clips below:

Larry Bossidy, Honorary Chairman of the Board:

“The suicide rate for young people is up 56% in ten years. It’s remarkable and it’s tragic. And they come to school often overwhelmed. Whatever we can do to provide them with some peace and tranquility and happiness, that’s one of our great missions.”

Ken Langone, Member of the Board:

“In the case of a lot of colleges, they don’t want to admit they have a problem. But they do have a problem… 64% of all kids that drop out of college, drop out because of mental illness. So there’s a big, big market here. Suicide is the second largest killer of teenagers between 18 and 24. I mean, this is a serious problem. What we’re doing here is applying what we learned and what we know about business in a very strong way, and Larry’s family has been amazing. They’ve put their shoulder to the wheel.”

RADical Hope is fully funding the cost of the program at every school to ensure all students have access to the tools and resources they need to strengthen connections and build resilience.
