RADical Hope announces collaboration with Chelsea Cutler to enhance emotional intelligence content
RADical Hope Foundation is proud to announce a new collaboration with singer-songwriter and producer Chelsea Cutler to introduce original emotional intelligence content into Week 3 of its four-week RADical Health program, titled: How Do I Connect? Strengthening Emotional Intelligence.
Cutler’s exclusive video content is designed to spark meaningful conversation around emotional intelligence, including the power of vulnerability, navigating insecurity, listening to oneself and others, and reframing failure as fuel for growth.
“Being able to connect with others, understand others, communicate effectively with others, and also to be able to understand what we’re feeling and how to nurture that is ultimately, in my opinion, more important than any specific skills.”
— Chelsea Cutler
Week 3 of RADical Health focuses on strengthening emotional intelligence through communication, empathy and active listening. Participants:
- Learn the importance of emotional intelligence as they navigate different relationships and environments;
- Explore ways to build connections using empathy and authenticity;
- Engage in active listening exercises: communication as a two-way street.
The addition of Cutler’s content enhances these sessions by providing a culturally relevant voice and lived experience that resonates deeply with Gen Z participants.
As young adults navigate heightened pressure, uncertainty and an increasing struggle to find meaningful peer-to-peer connection, RADical Hope continues to expand its impact nationwide through its evidence-based, peer-led model.
While many institutions offer counseling resources, RADical Hope addresses a complementary need: proactive skill development in a trusted peer environment. The program equips students with practical tools to understand and manage their emotions in real time: building resilience, confidence and community before challenges escalate.
Chelsea Cutler has built her career on transparency and emotional honesty, writing music that resonates with young listeners navigating identity, relationships and mental health. That same authenticity informs this collaboration.
In her informational interview, Cutler reflects on her own journey — including navigating sexuality, societal expectations and the pursuit of a demanding creative career. Through candid storytelling, she illustrates the importance of vulnerability, self-awareness and emotional regulation.
Together, RADical Hope and Cutler center the core pillars of emotional intelligence:
- Self-awareness
- Emotional regulation
- Empathy
- Effective communication
- Resilience
By blending RADical Hope’s structured, peer-led programming with Cutler’s relatable voice and cultural influence, the collaboration aims to normalize conversations around emotional growth, translate complex emotional concepts into accessible language and provide tangible tools students can immediately apply in their academic, athletic and personal lives.
This partnership represents another step forward in RADical Hope’s mission: equipping the next generation with the emotional skills necessary to lead, connect and thrive.
